FROM ONE RIVER TO THE NEXT

Presented in Quebec City from August 20 août to Septembre 11, 2019, From One River to the Next was first shown in L’Anse-au-Griffon from July 15 to August 19, 2019 as part of the 10th Rencontres internationales de la photographie en Gaspésie.

This exhibit is the outcome of an artistic collaboration between Christophe Goussard (France) and Charles-Frédérick Ouellet (Québec), two artists sharing interest in history and waterways. Their photographs evoke the ties that bind their two territories, France and Québec, through the Basque presence in America. A photographic book, published under the direction of Éditions Filigranes, in collaboration with the different partners, accompanies the exhibit.

This residency and exhibition project is the result of a collaboration between Manif d’art in Québec City, Rencontres internationales de la photographie en Gaspésie, FRAC Aquitaine and the city of Bayonne.
